About Suzi Finer

About Suzi Finer creative director of I AM A DIVA.com

Entrepreneur. Trendsetter. Do-er.

These are adjectives which describe our Creative Director, Suzi Finer. A second generation Los Angelino, Suzi has spent her life living with the thrill of finding "what's next". An active community member of  Beverly Hills, Suzi has found her niche as the resident "concierge"; the go-to person whenever people need to find what they are looking for.

She has a knack for finding the perfect hostess gift, coming up with fresh Corporate gift ideas, and sniffing out which item will be "it" for the next season. From putting together Oscar party "swag bags" for celebrities and industry insiders, to landscape design and custom murals, Suzi has done it all.

Suzi Finer has been creating art since before she could walk. A natural "quick draw" Suzi also paints and sculpts. She doesn't like to categorize herself as any one type of artist; she is really a  renaissance girl. She enjoys a challenge; Suzi has appeared as a winning contestant on a dozen game shows; Wheel of Fortune, Sale of the Century, and most recently Merv Griffin's Crosswords to name a few.

A "master" cake decorator to the stars; Suzi spent 12 year at Hansen Cakes of Beverly Hills honing her skills; her cake designs have appeared in the pages of People and other magazines. Suzi has designed computer graphics for the educational market such as   Math Blaster and Writing Blaster. She taught cake decorating as well as cartooning for the City of Beverly Hills.

As someone who appreciates fine food, in 1998 Suzi opened the Charleville Cafe in Beverly Hills, which she built up to be a success, then sold it to explore other areas of business.

In 2001, she opened Suzi Finer Artworks & Artware on Robertson Boulevard in Beverly Hills. A gifted buyer, Suzi has a passion for retail; in 2004, she was awarded national Retailer of the Year and became a destination shop for an international clientele. She has her finger on the pulse of whats hot, whats not, and whats next.

In 2006 she joined the staff at Sweetpeas and Snapshots, a Vintage Home & Paperie shop in West Los Angeles, where she used her skills to help make the store Los Angeles' premier craft destination. In January, 2007, she was asked to speak at the Craft & Hobby Industry Convention as part of a panel of industry leaders, with a focus on marketing via the Internet. She is a regular contributing editor to the craft retailer publications focusing on upcoming trends.
